As members of NECA Australia (National Electrical Communications Association) and with their support, we ensure that time, resources, skills and knowledge are applied to this extremely important area of business today. We can provide an OHS Management System indicating how we will manage our health and safety duties on site. Our comprehensive OHS Management system uses NECA experience in the field and addresses the OHS Act’s requirements and Worksafe’s expectations. The system is designed to align with the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS4801 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, and AS/NZS4804 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Guidelines, so all staff at CST Automation receive sound instruction in a common sense format.
The complete Safety Management System has been developed in house and is supplied in an electronic format as well as a hard copy.
Our system ensures we can develop site specific Safety Plans and Safe Work Method Statements quickly and with a minimum of fuss. This systematic approach to developing Safety Plans equals efficiency and minimal administration on site.
This component of the Management System includes OHS policies and procedures, also included are registers, checklists and forms for recording safety information, and an audit tool to assist us in measuring our safety management performance against AS 4801.
The five sections of the Company OHS Management Component are:
The Site Safety Management System is a live document that can be used to assist with the effective control of health and safety on site on a daily basis by assessing and documenting requirements imposed by legislation, clients and Principal Contractors. The Site Safety Management component includes the following sections:
The delivery of these toolbox talks to employees will assist contractors in their OHS obligation to provide information, instruction and training and also meet the obligation to consult with employees on OHS issues. The toolbox talk component contains 100 toolbox talks specific to the electrical contracting business and includes an assessment sheet with 10 assessment questions for our employees to complete as well as an attendance sheet to record the meeting details.
